5.3 Quality Policy

Top management is responsible to establish a Quality Policy for an organization. This Quality Policy must:

 

 

Quality Policy is first appeared in ISO Clause 4.2 Documentation Requirements, be specified is 4.2.1 (a), Quality Policy is a control document and need to follow the document control method stated in Control of Documents Procedure.

 

Quality Policy is a top level document and supported by Quality Objectives, in fact, higher than Quality Manual. Therefore, it only provides a quality direction and commitment of the organization toward Quality Management System.

 

Two key words are important in a Quality Policy, there are:

  1. Fulfill or meeting customer satisfaction
  2. Continual improvement

Example

“We are committed to fulfill customer satisfaction by continual improve our processes”.
